The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. A Typical Day The BH Intake Specialist functions semi-independently, under the direction of the Transfer Center administration as part of the integrated healthcare team.

The BH Transfer Center Intake Specialist will work to ensure all clinical information is documented clearly and appropriately, and all necessary referral information is relayed accurately to the physician at time of review. This position is also responsible for the intake and linkage of RWJBH and other contracted company employees to affiliated Employee Assistance Program providers, along with evaluating clients during the outpatient scheduling process. The position requires skills and abilities typically gained with 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare office or hospital operations setting, and/or educational background. Knowledge and necessary skills will be utilized to effectively meet the needs of transfer process Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public This Role Might Be For You If ... To Be Considered Required:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources field required Minimum two years crisis intervention experience required Strong interpersonal/ telephone communication and organizational skills required Knowledge and proficiency of word processing, computer data input Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and critical thinking skills
