Job Description

Medicaid Coordinator Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medicaid Coordinator to join our team in Amityville, NY . We are looking for a candidate with prior Medicaid experience , preferably within a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, healthcare, or a related setting. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with residents and their families to gather information required for Medicaid eligibility and benefits. Review admission, financial, and supporting documentation for residents requiring Medicaid assistance. Prepare, collect, organize, and submit documentation for Medicaid applications. Monitor Medicaid applications and follow up with appropriate agencies to help ensure timely approvals. Communicate with residents, families, staff, and outside agencies regarding Medicaid-related matters. Complete and maintain accurate Medicaid records, forms, and documentation. Identify missing or incomplete information and follow up as needed. Provide professional and compassionate customer service to residents and their families. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Prior Medicaid experience required. 1-2+ years of Medicaid experience preferred , particularly in long-term care or a healthcare setting. Experience with Medicaid applications, eligibility, and documentation. Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment strongly preferred. College degree preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple applications and deadlines. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
