Job Description
Intake Specialist Provides information to callers and prospective patients regarding Glenbeigh services, collects data for staff to determine the appropriateness and eligibility of patient requesting admission. Responsible for pre-admission case management of patients scheduled to be admitted, including benefits verification. Completes admission paperwork for all patients. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school graduate or equivalent. Strong organizational skills and effective in working with a team. Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal communication required. Ability to establish and maintain friendly and cooperative relationships in all encounters. Basic office equipment skills including but not limited to: photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, telephone system, shred boxes, calculators, computers, printers and keyboards. Basic computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft office, Outlook and the aptitude to navigate electronic medical records effectively. Possess personal qualifications such as kindness, compassion, good judgment and an ability to relate effectively. Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality. Possess strong customer service skills and phone etiquette.
