You'll help ensure that patient orders are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting insurance verification, documentation management, reimbursement activities, and coordination of services. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations regarding insurance eligibility and coverage. Key Responsibilities Review referral documentation and patient records for accuracy and completeness. Enter patient and order information into internal systems. Verify insurance coverage and benefits to support processing and reimbursement. Obtain required documentation from referral sources, providers, patients, and internal teams. Maintain accurate patient order records throughout the intake process. Communicate order status updates to patients, providers, and internal stakeholders. Prepare and process documentation related to product delivery and reimbursement. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely service delivery. Support compliance with payer requirements, clinical guidelines, and company policies. Help minimize claim denials through thorough documentation review. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in customer service, healthcare administration, medical office operations, healthcare intake, or a related environment. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of insurance verification processes and healthcare reimbursement models. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Comfort working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Top Skills -Must Haves:
Healthcare intake, patient access, medical billing, home healthcare, or DME experience. Insurance verification and benefits investigation experience. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans. Medical terminology knowledge. Strong customer service and phone communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to handle difficult conversations with patients regarding insurance coverage decisions. Self-starter who takes initiative and adapts quickly to new processes.Nice-to-Have Skills:
Insurance authorization experience. Reimbursement and claims support experience. Referral and order management experience. Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Process improvement or project support experience. Experience building relationships with providers, payers, and patients. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
