Job Description
Certified Recovery Specialist Non-exempt The Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) is responsible to the Director of Client Services. 1. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to abide by confidentiality requirements of MCW 2. Good judgment, common sense and ability to handle emergencies and resolve minor conflicts 3. Experience in working with groups of women and ability to supervise while encouraging independence and growth 4. Positive attitude and ability to work closely with homeless women and children who have difficult issues to resolve 5. Active in substance abuse recovery for at least 18 months. 6. Flexible schedule to include some first and second shifts as well as some weekend shifts. The Certified Recovery Specialist will work with residents at MCW, Brandy's Corner and MACC individually and in group settings. The CRS will offer supportive services and referrals for women in recovery. 1. Work with residents who are in recovery to identify coping skills and sober supports. 2. Complete goal plans to address recovery needs. 3. Accompany clients to appointments as needed. 4. Take clients to different meetings in the community to build supports. 5. Attend and participate in treatment team meetings. 6. Refer people to community support and programming. 7. Complete accurate and professional documentation. 8. Serve as member of the Mercy Center for Women team committed to fulfilling the mission of MCW and maintain a professional attitude at all times. 9. Report any suspicion of child abuse to the Director of Client Services and complete report as indicated. 10. Perform other duties that are mutually agreed upon by the Director of Client Services. mary
