Pre-Registration/Authorization Specialist Full-time Hanover, PA Work-life balance- Monday-Friday Only! No Nights or Weekends!

Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with clients. Ability to set up electronic medical record for new clients. Scheduling new client appointments with correct providers, which includes verifying the provider is credentialed and can accept insurance plan. The ability to obtain, verify, and review accurate insurance benefit information with clients. The ability to ensure payment for services prior to the client services. Ability to be proactive and to prioritize work tasks. Ability to function effectively as a member of a team that may include multiple programs, locations, departments as well as external organizations and insurance companies. Understand how trauma affects an individual and know effective ways to respond to individuals who have experienced it. Ability to effectively communicate with clients. Check funding for all scheduled clients across all programs. Assist clients with transferring to a new provider when necessary. Contact clients when there are insurance issues or insurance lapses. Assist with client statements, payment plans, and sending final notices.
Job Qualifications/Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet. Prior experience with health insurance companies, medical record systems, medical billing and coding is preferred. The position requires three clearances (Pennsylvania ChildLine Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Check) and Mandated Reporting training.
