Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Access Center Specialist II to join our Orlando, Florida team in a hybrid role focused on connection, accuracy, and compassionate service. This role serves as a trusted guide for patients, families, providers, and internal teams—scheduling specialty appointments, verifying insurance and registration details, explaining financial responsibilities, and helping ensure each care journey starts smoothly and confidently. This is a hybrid role. What You'll Do Be the welcoming voice that schedules specialty appointments and follows up when needed. Capture accurate patient, insurance, registration, and billing information in the EMR. Help families understand insurance eligibility, authorizations, and financial responsibilities. Move urgent needs forward quickly by prioritizing and escalating appointment concerns. Prepare families for successful visits by sharing directions, requirements, and next steps. Keep teams informed through clear documentation, work queue review, and timely follow-through. Support daily access operations, including staff messages, cancelled clinic requests, and appointment accuracy. Partner professionally with clinics, physicians, managers, and internal departments. Protect confidentiality while living Nemours' mission, values, policies, and service standards. Qualifications High School Diploma required. More than one year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience preferred.
