Longhorn Imaging Center is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist in Austin. This person will be responsible for obtaining insurance benefits, verification of eligibility status, and assisting with authorizations over the phone and online; collecting accurate demographics, accurate data entry; scanning electronic records, and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers. The right candidate must be detail oriented, able to handle a fast paced environment, have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and provide expert level support to all staff, patients and referring physician offices with a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance.
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF. Must have a working knowledge in computer navigation and have the ability to multitask effectively. Must have a working knowledge of health insurance and conceptually understand how health care benefits apply.
Preferred:
1+ year medical experience or medical insurance verification and pre-certification. Familiarity with online insurance verification of deductibles and co-insurance calculations Experience with current insurance portals will be considered first
