Job Description
Independently prioritize the business processes associated with undergraduate applications for a designated population. Interpret and apply knowledge of policies and procedures of the University, SACS, SCHEV and all other applicable sources when performing business functions (which must occur to accomplish departmental goals). Process applications and credentials ensuring 90% accuracy in all data-entry fields for accuracy and correct errors from application upload. Research and analyze authenticity of credentials and utilize independent judgement when determining documents authenticity. Review submitted application and Supplemental Items in Slate to ensure accurate data will be sent to the SIS. Accurately code applicant status in Slate, ensuring files ready for an admission decision are in the appropriate workflow bin. Assist with Certificate of Advanced standing creation for all Dual Enrollment applicants and enter approved departmental transfer credit into Colleague. Review residencies for all applicants prior to application processing. Generate data reports to interpret and address CRM/SIS system errors for correction prior to term course enrollment. Conduct mid-term review of final official transcripts and updated transcripts received for processing in the SIS. Upload mail and over the counter documents for review and processing into the CRM. Provide guidance to the general public, as well as internal constituents, and resolve concerns associated with admission to the University and domicile determination and other University services which are interrelated to admissions (i.e. New Student Orientation, Financial Aid, Housing, tuition and fees and other student services). Dialogue with colleagues when updated information is received and requires a second review. Dispense information in clear, concise terms and discuss specific issues in an individual setting. Provide intake counter coverage, as needed, for students, parents and other constituents. E-mail notification letters requesting missing documents necessary to complete the admission process. Review automated admission letter for accuracy and mail to students with appropriate acceptance package. Maintain alphabetized lists for data analysis and disseminate to interested parties within the university community for new student registration. Assist in reviewing, responding, or downloading documents which enter the admissions or transfer mailboxes. Keep accurate alphabetical filing system on all applications, transcripts, test scores and other data related to admissions process. Ensure that all applications and credentials are scanned and filed accurately into SoftDocs
