Executive Assistant –
Nonprofit Organization Schedule:
Onsite Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
Compensation:
$80,000–$85,000 Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Assistant to support a fast-paced CEO within a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can operate independently and bring strong, hands-on experience supporting boards and committees . This is a critical position where the ideal candidate will be able to step in and own board and governance-related responsibilities with minimal ramp-up , in addition to providing high-level executive support. Key Responsibilities Manage a high-volume, ever-changing executive calendar with precision and foresight Prepare the CEO for daily meetings, ensuring all materials, briefings, and logistics are in place Coordinate internal and external meetings, including hosting in-office guests and stakeholders Serve as a key liaison across leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and communication Maintain organization of executive communications, scheduling, and follow-ups Board & Committee Support (Core Function of Role): Lead preparation and coordination of board and committee meetings Draft and distribute agendas, materials, and supporting documentation Take accurate, detailed meeting minutes and ensure proper documentation of proceedings Maintain and manage governing documents and board records Ensure compliance with governance processes and timelines
Qualifications Required:
Demonstrated experience supporting boards and committees, including agenda creation, minute-taking, and governance documentation 3–5+ years of executive support experience at the senior leadership level (VP or above preferred) Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with minimal supervision Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail Clear, direct communicator with a professional and grounded approach Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to shifting needs Work Environment This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Alignment with the CEO's schedule is required. Some flexibility may exist based on the CEO's schedule. No overtime is expected. Additional Notes This role requires a candidate who brings established expertise in board and committee support . While other executive assistant responsibilities are important, governance experience is a key priority and essential for long-term success in this position . #
