Job Description

The Bradford County Manager's office is currently accepting applications for a qualified Executive Assistant. This is a salaried position with a pay range of $55,000 to $65,000. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT POSITION DESCRIPTION
Purpose and General Summary of Position:
This is a professional administrative position related to planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the administrative processes necessary to carry out the operations of the county and the policies and goals of the county commissioners. This position reports directly to the County Manager. The principal duties of the position are performed in a general office environment.
Essential Functions:
The Executive Assistant supports the County Manager and Board by coordinating public meetings and hearings; preparing and maintaining agendas, minutes, notices, and official records; ensuring compliance with state and county regulations; and providing historical and procedural context during sessions. This position also includes grant management and tracking responsibilities to assist with accurate documentation, monitoring, and compliance support. The role includes communicating and coordinating with elected officials, department leaders, employees, and the public to ensure effective and efficient service delivery, while maintaining strong intergovernmental relationships and high-quality, responsive customer service. Additional responsibilities include updating and maintaining computer file systems, responding to citizen inquiries, keeping leadership fully informed of administrative matters, performing duties in accordance with county policies and safety practices, and supporting related administrative functions as required.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of five years of general office experience that includes at least three years of performing high-level and confidential administrative duties; a minimum of three years of government experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and reasoning skills, proficiency with office equipment and Microsoft Office applications, the ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, work independently, manage time and priorities, make sound decisions within applicable laws and policies, and maintain effective working relationships with employees, elected officials, partner agencies, and the public.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
