hours per week This position is responsible for: Provides comprehensive administrative, project, and event management support to the General Secretary and Divisional Secretary for Program. This position is responsible for managing complex administrative operations, coordinating divisional events and training, maintaining digital resource platforms, and supporting leadership communications. Ensures the efficient execution of departmental processes while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Composes, prepares, and processes a wide variety of documents of a confidential, complex, and technical nature, including proposals, sermons, briefs, reports, statistics, budgets, forms, invoices, agendas, and schedules. Records and distributes meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Serves as a liaison between departments and leadership (General Secretary and Divisional Secretary for Program), responding to inquiries, researching information, and providing accurate and timely communication. Manages sensitive and confidential matters in accordance with organizational standards. Coordinates and manages all aspects of Salvation Army conferences, seminars, special meetings, and divisional events, including preparation of forms, agreements, registrations, schedules, and staff assignments.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Work requires the ability to lift and carry, and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.
Light mobility:
duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

High school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree from a technical or vocational school supplemented by business or administrative assistant courses, and computer database training is strongly preferred. AND Six years of progressively responsible experience performing administrative work in a general office or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
