Job Description

This position is located in Division for Executive Operations. The supervisor is Shaun Anderson. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
is defined as: Demonstrated experience leveraging extensive understanding of NRC regulations, policies, and programs, particularly in Operating Reactors, Nuclear Materials, and Performance Management, to address complex, agency-wide issues and achieve mission-critical results. This includes leveraging data analytics and risk-informed principles to evaluate complex technical, organizational, and policy issues; developing structured, defensible analyses; and providing recommendations that inform senior leadership decision-making. Experience must reflect the ability to operate with a high degree of independence in a dynamic, matrixed environment-integrating perspectives across organizational boundaries, resolving competing priorities, and influencing outcomes at the senior leadership level without formal authority. Candidates must also demonstrate executive-level communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and decision-ready written and oral products for senior leaders and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Broad knowledge of NRC rules, regulations, policies, and programs, with demonstrated ability to apply data analytics and risk-informed insights,particularly in Operating Reactors, Nuclear Materials, and Performance Management, to inform regulatory and mission outcomes. Strong understanding of NRC organizational structures, interdependencies, and decision-making pathways; ability to work across boundaries with senior leadership and anticipate downstream impacts to achieve mission results. Ability to independently evaluate complex technical, organizational, and policy proposals; identify key issues; apply structured analytical approaches; and clearly distinguish technical considerations from policy implications. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across organizations without formal authority; align stakeholders, resolve conflict, and drive results on high-visibility issues. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and strategically, including synthesizing diverse viewpoints into high-quality written and oral products that support senior leadership decision-making.
