This role combines high-level executive support, strategic coordination, and operational leadership. The Executive Assistant ensures smooth day-to-day operations, advances key institutional initiatives, and serves as a trusted liaison across the University and with external stakeholders. This position requires exceptional judgment and the ability to balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on administrative execution. For more information about our outstanding benefits, please visit: UNE Benefits Overview Responsibilities Provide comprehensive, high-level executive support to the Provost and SVPAA, ensuring thorough preparation for meetings, events, communications, and strategic initiatives Manage and optimize the Provost and SVPAA's calendar and schedule, triaging and prioritizing requests while balancing competing demands Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communications and representing the Provost's Office with professionalism and discretion Facilitate cross-unit collaboration with senior leaders, including deans, associate provosts, and other academic leaders, to advance strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across projects delegated by the Provost and SVPAA Track, monitor, and report on institutional initiatives and projects to ensure timely progress toward strategic goals Support policy development, institutional planning, and evaluation of academic and administrative processes; identify opportunities to improve administrative workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Provost's Office Plan and execute meetings, events, programs, and travel arrangements, including logistics, vendor coordination, and materials preparation Oversee daily operations of the Provost's Office, including workflow, internal communications, information management, and administrative processes Assist with monitoring budgets, contracts, expenditures, and administrative resources Conduct research and prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and other materials for the Provost and SVPAA Exercise strong judgment, discretion, and autonomy in managing priorities, communications, and sensitive information Perform additional duties as needed to support the effectiveness and strategic priorities of the Provost's Office Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred 3-5 years of experience in higher education administration, executive support, strategic project management, or a related field Experience supporting senior executives or academic leaders in a complex environment preferred Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives from inception to completion Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex organizational environments with discretion and professionalism Proven ability to lead initiatives, coordinate across units, and drive outcomes Ability to balance high‑level strategic coordination with hands‑on administrative execution Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with electronic record‑keeping and reporting systems Knowledge of higher education governance, policies, and organizational structures preferred EEO Statement Summary Consistent with federal and state law and University policy, the University of New England is committed to the fundamental concept of equal opportunity for all of the members of the University community.
