This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of design, construction documentation, project coordination, and client interaction. Our work focuses on high-end residential landscape architecture and outdoor environments, and this position will work closely with our landscape architects and design team throughout all phases of a project—from client meetings and design development through construction documentation and project completion. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and excited to grow within a fast-paced design firm.
Responsibilities:
Attend client, contractor, consultant, and project meetings; take detailed notes and prepare organized meeting recaps, action items, and follow-up documentation. Update landscape architectural plans based on client feedback, field conditions, design changes, and ongoing project revisions. Prepare and revise construction drawings, detail drawings, and supporting documentation for landscape and site improvements. Assist in the development, coordination, and organization of complete construction document sets. Perform quantity takeoffs for planting materials, hardscape, site elements, and other project components. Review drawing sets for consistency, accuracy, completeness, and coordination between plans, details, and specifications. Work directly with landscape architects and designers on drafting, documentation, design revisions, and general project coordination. Prepare and maintain as-built drawings reflecting field conditions, completed construction, and modifications made throughout the construction process. Assist with tracking project revisions and helping ensure that design decisions are accurately communicated and documented. Help keep projects organized and moving forward by coordinating information between the design team, clients, contractors, and other project professionals.Qualifications Required:
- Strong proficiency in Auto
CAD / CAD
drafting.- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, well-organized drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take detailed meeting notes and translate discussions into clear action items.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and comfort interacting with clients, contractors, consultants, and other members of a project team.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for occasional project meetings and site visits.
Bonus Skills:
- Proficiency in SketchUp.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience with landscape architecture, architecture, residential construction, site design, or a related design discipline.
- Familiarity with construction documents, grading/site plans, hardscape detailing, planting plans, and construction terminology.
