Benefits Eligible - 60 day waiting period Contract Type Notification Bargaining Unit None Revised Date 6/01/2026 PURPOSE The Columbia Public School District is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to assist the Chief Equity Officer.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage and coordinate executive calendars for Chief Officer(s) Prepare expense reports, purchase orders, travel expenses, and data reports Draft, edit and format correspondence and other written documents Plan and organize meetings and events Safeguard confidential information at all times Oversee workflow to maintain efficiency and productivity Maintain accurate and up to date records Initiate purchase requests and monitor budget workflow Address inquiries within scope of responsibility; route calls appropriately Represent administration in communication with staff, administrators and external stakeholders to provide information, resolve issues and collect data Communicate promptly and professionally with all stakeholders Understand and adhere to Board policies and procedures Uphold and promote the mission and vision of Columbia Public Schools through all assigned responsibilities Occasional evening meeting preparation and attendance Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
High school diploma
Preferred:
Business school/associates degree; prior clerical experience; prior use of office equipment; knowledge of Microsoft office software. An ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position an employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear; The employee is frequently required to move about and use fingers and controls; The employee is occasionally required to reach, bend, and lift and carry up to ten pounds; Close vision ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time is required.
