Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leaders in driving our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll serve as a key liaison between executives and stakeholders while managing complex administrative functions that enable our leaders to focus on strategic objectives. This is an office-based role in Morrisville, NC.
Essential Functions:
You'll provide high-level support by effectively managing calendars, coordinating global travel, organizing meetings and events, and handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. As a supportive partner to leadership, you'll anticipate needs, offer solutions, and ensure smooth operations across multiple time zones and business units. Your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities will be essential as you manage complex schedules, prepare professional communications and presentations, process expenses, and complete special projects. You'll build strong relationships across all levels of the organization while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of executive assistant experience supporting senior leadership, preferably in a global corporate environment, or Associate's Degree plus 4 years of experience.
Preferred Fields of Study:
Business Administration, Secretarial Science or related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
  • Experience coordinating complex international travel and managing detailed logistics
  • Ability to work independently and identify/resolve issues
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexible hours when needed
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, matrix environment
  • Proficiency with expense management systems and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and project management skills
  • Professional communication style and presence
  • Role is based in Morrisville, NC and relocation assistance is NOT provided.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
