Overview Selective Insurance is recruiting for a Sr. Executive Assistant to supoprt our Chief Human Resources Officer. This role provides trusted, high-impact support to the CHRO and other executive leaders, serving as an extension of the executive and enabling effective decision-making and execution. Manages complex, highly confidential matters requiring sound judgment, discretion, and business acumen. Oversees the preparation and coordination of executive-level materials, communications, and workflows aligned to organizational priorities. Proactively synthesizes, analyzes, and communicates information across the executive's areas of responsibility, anticipating needs and resolving issues before escalation. Acts as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, handling all interactions with professionalism and diplomacy. Responsibilities Manages highvolume, complex executive communications across Microsoft Teams, email, and collaboration platforms, exercising sound judgment to prioritize messages, ensure timely responses, and appropriately delegate matters while maintaining strict confidentiality
Develops and prepares executivelevel correspondence, memoranda, presentations, agendas, and reports using Microsoft Office and related tools, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with organizational priorities through careful review and proofreading.
Serves as a trusted partner to the executive by maintaining a highly responsive relationship to daily business activities, anticipating needs, and relieving the executive of routine and administrative matters to enable focus on strategic priorities.
Oversees and coordinates the executive's calendar, schedules, and logistics, including complex travel arrangements and meeting coordination, ensuring efficient use of time and seamless execution of commitments; manages travel and expense reporting in accordance with policy.
Manages and monitors the executive's expense budget, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company guidelines, and timely reconciliation while identifying opportunities for efficiency.
Coordinates and supports executive meetings and events, including scheduling, compiling and distributing materials, and providing logistical and planning support for large meetings, leadership sessions, and departmental or companywide events.
Maintains organized filing systems and safeguards sensitive and confidential information, ensuring records are accurate, accessible, and securely maintained in accordance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Attends executive and leadership meetings as required, documenting key discussions, decisions, and action items, and ensuring timely followup and communication as appropriate.
Screens and manages access to the executive, including visitors and inquiries, serving as a professional and diplomatic first point of contact while determining appropriate handling or escalation.
Supports departmental and enterprise initiatives by coordinating projects, organizing events, compiling data and reports, and managing related materials and documentation, contributing to the successful execution of executive and organizational priorities. Qualifications Knowledge and Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of executivelevel administrative practices, including advanced calendar management, executive communications, meeting coordination, travel logistics, and expense management.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand organizational priorities, anticipate executive needs, and support decisionmaking through accurate, timely, and wellorganized information.
- Proven ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism in a fastpaced, executive environment.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and timemanagement skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, shifting priorities, and complex workflows with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, with the ability to create highquality executive presentations, correspondence, reports, and meeting materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Solid analytics skills, including the ability to review data, identify trends, and prepare summaries. Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant executivelevel administrative experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams, including direct support to senior leaders or executives in a complex, fastpaced corporate environment, handling high-volume, time-sensitive communications and serving as a primary liaison between executives, leadership teams, and internal or external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executivelevel decisionmaking, including managing confidential information, preparing executive materials, and coordinating complex calendars, meetings, and travel.
- Experience preparing executivelevel correspondence, presentations, reports, and meeting materials with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
- Experience coordinating leadership meetings, largescale meetings, or business events, including logistics, materials, and followup activities.
