Job Description:
Nonprofit Assistant Executive Director (AED) - Bronx, NY Are you an experienced human services leader looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Assistant Executive Director to help oversee agency operations, support program excellence, and lead strategic initiatives that enhance services for vulnerable populations. The Assistant Executive Director serves as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Executive Director to ensure high-quality program delivery, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and organizational growth. This role provides oversight of clinical quality assurance, administrative operations, property management functions, technology initiatives, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day agency operations and ensure regulatory compliance Provide leadership and support to program, quality assurance, and property management teams Assist with strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth initiatives Support human resources efforts including recruitment, retention, and staff development Coordinate agency compliance, audits, corrective action plans, and reporting requirements Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, consultants, and technology partners Ensure tenant and consumer concerns are addressed effectively and professionally Manage agency-wide technology systems, equipment, and operational processes Assume Executive Director responsibilities in their absence
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field Minimum of 5 years of progressive management or administrative leadership experience Strong knowledge of program operations, compliance, quality assurance, and staff supervision Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable traveling between program locations as needed Why Apply?
