Job Description

Spruce Lake Ministries encourages persons from a variety of traditions to a deeper faith in God through Jesus Christ. In this peaceful setting in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, Spruce Lake and Pinebrook provide Christian church, family and corporate groups with lodging, meeting spaces and meals for their next event or retreat. Spruce Lake also hosts summer camps, programmatic retreats, and outdoor education programs throughout the year. Do you welcome the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and directly support the mission of a large Christian nonprofit organization? The Executive Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and communication of the CEO's office and the broader organization. The Executive Assistant to the CEO serves as a strategic administrative partner and trusted gatekeeper to the Chief Executive Officer. The EA role ensures operational excellence from the CEO's office by managing executive-level administrative functions, supporting board governance and executive team administration, coordinating fundraising activities, and facilitating clear communication across the organization. The EA is highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, proactive, and passionate about supporting and advancing the mission, vision, statements of faith and core values of Spruce Lake Ministries.
Prerequisites:
Possess spiritual maturity, taking initiative to personally grow, and encourage others to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and a strong call to serve in ministry. Must affirm, live, and model Spruce Lake Ministries' mission, vision, statement of faith and core values. Conducts him/herself in a manner that is above reproach. Qualifications 5 + years executive-level administration experience. Experience and expertise in event planning and coordination. Demonstrates leadership skills and exemplary interpersonal relationship skills. Experience and expertise with office management systems, MS office and databases. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive organizational information. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, sustain daily office activities, typing, and computer screen time. Ability to lift at least 35 lbs., carry boxes, and set up for events.
