Maintenance Technician - Carpenter

Position Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine and emergency maintenance, renovation, construction or replacement of Spruce Lake guest lodging, guest recreational facilities, staff housing, campground, offices and administration, grounds and infrastructures. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for solution-oriented team participation in completion of all routine and project-based tasks.

Facility Manager Qualifications:

Minimum two years' progressive experience in construction industry with focus on carpentry skills. Knowledge and skills associated with hospitality industry commercial building and ground maintenance preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic math, reading and computation skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized. Willingness to learn and practice new skills as needed. Flexibility to work days, weekends, rotating holidays and on call schedule.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on uneven terrain, lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, shoulders and to bend, kneel and stretch.
