Job Description

A growing independent school in Central Pennsylvania seeks an exceptional Executive Assistant to serve as a trusted partner to the Head of School and help ensure the smooth operation of a dynamic educational organization. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys creating order from complexity, managing multiple priorities, building systems, and ensuring that important work moves forward. The Executive Assistant will serve as a key member of the administrative team, providing executive support to the Head of School while helping coordinate operational, business office, and organizational functions across the school. Responsibilities Manage the calendar, meetings, and priorities Draft correspondence, reports, presentations, and school communications Coordinate projects and strategic initiatives from planning through execution Prepare materials for board meetings, leadership meetings, and special events Track action items and ensure follow-through on key priorities Support business office operations, including vendor coordination, purchasing, invoicing, and administrative workflows Assist with human resources, onboarding, and personnel processes Maintain organizational systems, records, and procedures Serve as a professional point of contact for families, donors, board members, and community partners Support admissions, enrollment, advancement, and community engagement efforts as needed The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is: Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Professional, personable, and relationship-focused An excellent writer and communicator Able to manage competing priorities with discretion and sound judgment Comfortable handling confidential information Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented Skilled at creating systems and improving processes Able to anticipate needs before they arise Collaborative, flexible, and committed to excellence Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience Experience supporting senior leaders, executives, or school administrators Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and database systems Experience in education, nonprofit organizations, professional services, or mission-driven organizations preferred Why This Role? Location:
Central Pennsylvania Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with experience
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
