Job Description:
The Executive Assistant to the President provides administrative, operational, and project support to the president, to the President's Office and Nevonia, the official residence of the president. The most significant portion of the Executive Assistant role is supporting the president's strategic objectives by managing executive-level scheduling and logistics, ensuring seamless and timely communication flow, supporting events involving the president or President's Office's interests, and optimizing office operations to maintain exceptional organizational capacity.
Essential Functions:
Manage the calendar for the President and other assigned executives with a strategic approach, ensuring engagements are meticulously reviewed, managed, and prioritized in alignment with strategic priorities and that the President's office is responsive to all constituencies in a timely and professional manner. Serve as a key point of contact for the President and the President's Office, interacting professionally and confidentially with alumni, students, faculty, staff, donors, and members of the greater Lancaster community. Provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned senior leadership, including managing domestic and international travel logistics, expense reporting, preparing correspondence, and day-to-day office operations. Provide operational and logistical support for presidential and executive-level events and special initiatives, hosted on-campus and off-campus, including assisting with presidential residence operations and hospitality management. In collaboration with the President and the Secretary of the Board, provide administrative and operational support for the Board of Trustees, as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and training. At least 5 years of relevant experience with administrative and clerical procedures. A high degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive) Technical proficiency in relevant applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attention to detail. Evidence of a commitment to community and belonging. Successful interview. Successful completion of background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
7 or more years of relevant experience with Administrative and clerical procedures. Prior work experience in an executive office environment. Experience working in a higher education setting.
