ABOUT THE POSITION
Under general supervision, provides confidential administrative support and assistance to the General Manager and Administrative Department; supports the Board of Directors relative to their meeting processes and statutory responsibilities; performs other related work as required as directed by the General Manager.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL
Be a self-starter with excellent time management skills. Be process oriented with attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Have demonstrated ability to use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy, procedures, and legal guidelines. Have knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and organizational policies and procedures including the Public Records Act, and the Brown Act. Have excellent technological skills to schedule and post meetings and organize agenda packets and public documents. Have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in a proactive, approachable, and responsive nature with board members, executive staff, the public, and employees. Be experienced in maintaining administrative files including historical legal documents, resolutions, policies, and agreements. Be available to attend Board meetings, prepare minutes and other documents, and direct the publication, filing, indexing and safekeeping of all proceedings of the Board. Have experience using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level. Have experience in a public agency (highly desirable).ABOUT THE CLIENT
Background- In 1958, a local group of dedicated citizens, known as the Marina Community Service Corporation, proposed the formation of a municipal-owned water system with boundaries to coincide with the existing Marina Fire District, which was approximately 1,600 acres.
- Today we serve more than 40,000 customers and approximately 10,800 accounts split roughly equally between Central Marina and the Ord Community on the former military base, including California State University (CSU) Monterey Bay.

BENEFITS AND SALARY INFORMATION
Salary:
$115,725.54- $147,698.
