This position works to advance the organization's global efforts through compassionate service, ethical advocacy, and collaborative partnerships that empower vulnerable women and children to move toward safety, with dignity, and sustainable freedom. The role contributes to the organization's impact by assisting in program development, survivor support initiatives, awareness campaigns, and operational activities that align with WAR, Int'l's commitment to prevention, intervention, and restoration. Through culturally sensitive engagement, responsible stewardship of resources, and adherence to the organization's values, this position helps strengthen communities and promote long-term transformation for those at risk. Job Summary Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int'l) is searching for a full-time Executive Assistant to work at our 44th Street location. The position is full-time (40 hours a week) with flexibility to be on call 24/7. The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative support for the leader of this non-profit organization. The successful candidate will have a sincere interest in the mission, possess excellent administrative and relational skills, value attention to detail, and be able to handle a variety of activities and tasks. The office environment is informal but highly professional, requiring quality work and individual initiative. Each staff member is part of the team and must be willing to perform a wide breadth of activities. Type (FT/PT) Full-Time Department Administration Location Wyoming, MI Pay ~$18.00/hour Responsibilities Presidential Scheduling Maintain the schedule for the President, including event arrangements and travel booking for domestic travel. Represent the President and the Organization in a professional manner in person, in telephone conversations, and in written correspondence. Arrange, welcome and host guests of the President in the corporate office. Write letters and other correspondence for the President, including letters of agreement. Prepare all travel related documents prior to a trip for travel briefing with the President. Presidential Office Management Discreet handling of confidential information. Proofread and edit documents or delegate with oversight. Participate in brainstorming sessions for various projects. Build and update Presidential contacts and network in the database. Assist the organization of information. Assist with office administrative tasks as needed. Assist with meeting planning. Takes minutes at staff meetings, create staff meeting outlines. Responsible to be the liaison to the President when they are out of the building or the country. Answer and manage incoming emergency calls from victims, survivors and community members requesting assistance. Presidential Speaking and Conference Prep Maintain President's training and technical schedules and notebooks. Attend and assist at seminars and conferences where the President is speaking, when needed. Assist with tasks related to marketing, registrations, development of the agenda, and resource materials for meetings and conferences. Board and Donor Relations Maintain communication between the President's office and the Board of Directors, including planning board meetings. Maintain key donor relationships as directed by the President. Skills | Qualifications Always takes initiative and can anticipate with consistent follow through Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent editing and proofreading skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Extreme attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities Handles material with confidentiality Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience in working with database management Experience performing research utilizing the Internet Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to details Knowledge of basic filing and organizational protocols Knowledge of both domestic and international travel booking The ability to follow directions, sometimes from multiple sources and determine priorities Flexibility and willingness to perform other reasonable duties as requested Flexibility to be on call 24/7 Ability to delegate 5 plus years' experience Promote the ability to work in a team environment while also working independently to accomplish department deadlines. Comfortable working with a faith-based donor base and constituency Physically able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time as well as lift packages and binds up to 30 pounds. Salary & Benefits $18.00/hour, depending on experience. Location This position is located in Wyoming, Michigan and has a starting wage of $18.00/hour. The position is not remote.
