Job Description

Assistant Executive Steward | Horseshoe Bay Resort Overview Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking an Assistant Executive Steward to support and manage back-of-house kitchen operations. This role is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, overseeing stewarding staff, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient kitchen support for all food and beverage operations. Responsibilities Oversee daily stewarding operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, and kitchen support functions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchens, storage areas, and loading docks in compliance with health regulations Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise stewarding team members Manage inventory of china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment Monitor labor, supplies, and operating costs; support budget and expense control Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce loss or breakage Partner with culinary leadership to support overall kitchen operations and service execution Enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with MSDS and OSHA guidelines Qualifications ServSafe Manager Certification required Previous leadership experience in stewarding, culinary, or food and beverage operations preferred Strong knowledge of sanitation, safety standards, and high-volume kitchen operations Experience with inventory management and cost control Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment Valid driver's license required Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
