Only applications submitted after May 11, 2026, will be considered. The Department of Strategic and Government Affairs is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to the City Council Liaison . The Executive Assistant will provide highly detailed technical and administrative support to the Mayor and City Council under the direction of the Council Liaison in a fast-paced environment. Assists with the development and implementation of City programs, policies, and procedures by providing comprehensive administrative support. Researches and responds to inquiries, providing accurate information to support the resolution of issues as they arise. Proactively manages the daily operations of the City Council office while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.. We pay our Executive Assistant's a starting salary of $66,019
- $75,920 depending on your qualifications and experience.

As the Executive Assistant to the City Council Liaison, you will: Processes and completes detailed forms, correspondence and reports as directed by the City Council Liaison. Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Builds and maintains professional stakeholder relationships through a consistently positive and professional demeanor, ensuring effective collaboration and result. Maintains calendar for Mayor and Council members, schedules meetings and ensures City Clerk's Office receives required information for quorum notice postings, as necessary. Organizes, manages and reviews City Council inquiries and requests; prepares status reports and related documentation. Organizes and prioritizes work to ensure deadlines and schedules are met; manages one-on-one agendas for quarterly meetings. Serves as a liaison for communications between City Council and staff as needed. Assists with responding to citizen concerns and service requests in a timely manner; prepares written correspondence as needed. Regular attendance on-site is required. Stays abreast of, and complies with, all City and departmental policies and procedures. Performs any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director or Supervisor Required to work as an essential employee before, during and after an emergency or disaster, whether natural or acts of war.Formal Education:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university required.Relatable Work Experience:
Four years secretarial/administrative experience required. Municipal experience is preferred. Two (2) years of relevant work experience demonstrating acceptable proficiency in the required knowledge and skills may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements. The City provides employees with Long Term Disability in the amount of 60% of your salary (depending on position category) to a maximum of $7,500 per month. Benefits begin after 90 days of disability and may continue to Social Security Normal Retirement Age (SSNRA) if you qualify. LTD is designed to replace a reasonable portion of your income in case of serious injury or sickness whether on or off the job. Benefits will be offset by any payments from SS, Workers Comp and other income offsets.SUPPLEMENTAL
LIFE and AD&D Employees can elect supplemental life insurance and AD&D coverage up to $750,000 for themselves and up to $250,000 for their spouse; as well as $15,000 of life insurance for child(ren).SHORT TERM DISABILITY
This optional benefit allows employees to receive 70% of their weekly salary, to a maximum of $1,500 per week (tax free), following eitherOption A:
a 30-calendar day elimination period; orOption B :

Employees are allowed to contribute to this optional program at a minimum set by the plan administrator and a maximum set annually by the IRS.
