QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred (minimum of two years post-secondary training) Five years successful experience as an executive assistant or equivalent in a similar position Experience in a similar-sized organization preferred Training in executive assistant related practices, communications and productivity tools (advanced technical training in these areas may substitute on a month-for-month basis for up to one year of the required experience) Notary Public or willingness to obtain Washington State driver's license
APPOINTMENT AND PERSONNEL RELATIONSHIP
The position of executive assistant is appointed by the Board of Directors upon the recommendation of the superintendent. The executive assistant reports directly to the superintendent and supports the school board and the executive team.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
This position serves as the confidential assistant to the superintendent, school board, and executive team; handles internal and external written, electronic and oral communications via phone, email, social media, web, publications, etc.; welcomes visitors; coordinates events; maintains superintendent and board calendars and communications; handles clerical and administrative tasks; takes notes and performs a variety of other assistant duties. Responsibilities include drafting and editing confidential correspondence, district communications, board meeting agendas, board policies and procedures, forms, etc. for a variety of audiences and purposes.
