This role is critical to our operations, ensuring that legal documents are prepared, reviewed, and filed accurately within various court systems. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of court rules and a proven track record of managing high-volume electronic filings without errors.
Duties Electronic Filing:
Manage the end-to-end e-filing process for state courts (including Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Washington).
Document Quality Control:
Review legal documents for proper formatting, required signatures, and compliance with local court rules before submission.
Deadline Management:
Monitor filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions and prevent dismissals.
Case Management:
Update internal systems with filing confirmations, case numbers, and documents.
Troubleshooting:
Resolve rejected filings by communicating with court clerks and adjusting documents as necessary.
Skills Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience specifically focused on legal e-filing.
Technical Proficiency:
Expert-level knowledge of e-filing portals (e.g., TurboCourt, Odyssey File & Serve, eFileWA). Attention to
Detail:
Ability to catch minor formatting errors or missing exhibits that could lead to a filing rejection.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the lifecycle of a legal case, specifically regarding the relationship between case filings, serves, and dismissals.
Communication:
Strong professional communication skills for interacting with internal legal teams and court personnel.
