Company Overview Fremont Surgery Center, founded in 1996, is one of the busiest Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) in the region. We are dedicated to providing high-quality surgical services across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and more. Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Fremont Surgery Center. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate medical records and supporting our mission of delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Manage and organize patient medical records efficiently. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems. Assist healthcare professionals with accessing patient information. Verify the accuracy of medical documentation. Handle requests for patient information from authorized personnel and outside entities. Collaborate with clinical staff to improve record-keeping processes. Assist at surgery center reception desk as needed. Support administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting is required. Proficiency in EHR systems and medical record management. Strong understanding of medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
