Job Description

Nuzzo Law APC is a boutique family law firm representing clients in high-net-worth divorce litigation and premarital and postnuptial agreements. We work in a fast-paced and electronic environment. We are looking for a candidate who is a hard worker dedicated to growing with our firm. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing incoming paperwork and documents, organizing them into the correct files for easy reference, and collecting information for various departments as needed. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure that information is readily accessible and can be retrieved efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities Sort, file, and maintain legal documents, case files, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring that they are easily accessible for attorneys and staff. Input case details and other relevant information into legal databases or software systems. Scan physical documents and upload them to the firm's digital database, ensuring all files are properly indexed for easy access. Oversee the organization and upkeep of both digital and physical filing systems. Locate and provide requested files to attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members promptly. Assist with trial preparation (creating trial binders, making copies, etc.) Deliver requested documents to staff. Answer phone calls as needed. Maintain minimum billing requirement. Assist with special tasks as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Proficient in MS Office 365 (specifically, MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook). Smokeball and Ring Central experience a plus. Associate's degree or 2 years of relevant experience. At least 1 year of experience in a legal office setting preferred. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, postage machine, and scanner. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Professional appearance and demeanor. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
