Flexible schedules available Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented File Clerk to assist with organizing, maintaining, updating, and retrieving company records and documents. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage documents accurately and efficiently. The position involves working with both electronic and, when applicable, physical records while maintaining confidentiality and following established filing procedures. Depending on business needs and candidate qualifications, this position may be available onsite or offsite . Responsibilities Organize and maintain electronic and physical files and records. File documents accurately according to established filing systems and procedures. Sort, categorize, label, scan, and upload documents as needed. Retrieve records and documents promptly when requested. Review files for accuracy, completeness, and proper organization. Enter and update document and record information in company systems. Maintain organized digital folders and document-management systems. Assist with converting, renaming, and categorizing electronic documents. Identify missing, duplicate, outdated, or incorrectly filed records. Assist with document retention and record-management activities. Prepare files and documents for internal review or processing. Maintain logs or tracking records for documents and files as required. Communicate with team members to locate or verify records and information. Maintain confidentiality and security of company, customer, employee, and business records. Follow company policies and procedures for document handling and information security. Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong organizational and filing skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer and internet skills. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets, and digital filing systems. Ability to learn document-management software and internal systems. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy. Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional, dependable, and organized work habits. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Previous filing, records management, data entry, clerical, administrative, or office experience is a plus, but not required.
