Job Description

Office Assistant We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant II to support a Contract records archiving project for a local government organization in Baltimore, Maryland. This contract assignment is ideal for someone who works carefully, stays organized, and can manage sensitive documents with professionalism. The role focuses on preparing physical records for storage, maintaining accurate organization, and helping the team complete the project on schedule.
Responsibilities:
? Prepare paper files for long-term storage by reviewing, sorting, and arranging records in a logical order.? Pack archived materials into boxes and apply clear identifiers in line with established project guidelines.? Place documents and boxed records in assigned storage areas while maintaining an orderly filing system.? Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accuracy throughout all archiving activities.? Update tracking logs and support inventory control for stored records and related materials.? Move archive boxes as needed and assist with routine physical handling of records throughout the workday.? Follow direction from supervisors and ad to workplace safety expectations during daily tasks.? Complete assigned project work within required timelines while coordinating effectively with team members. ? Prior experience in clerical support, office administration, records management, or a similar administrative setting is preferred. ? Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy. ? Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment. ? Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a consistent work ethic are required. ? Sound judgment and professionalism when working with confidential documents. ? Ability to lift approximately 25 to 30 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, and movement. ? Comfortable completing repetitive filing, boxing, data entry, and general office support tasks.
