We are seeking a Wide Format Printer Operator to support our large-format printing and sign production department. This position includes operating digital printers, preparing materials, monitoring print quality, performing routine maintenance, assisting with finishing equipment, and helping maintain an organized production workflow. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Training will be provided on our specific equipment and production processes, but previous experience with large-format printing, sign production, RIP software, laminating, or cutting equipment is preferred. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and ability to contribute to the department. Entry-level candidates with the right attitude and mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply, and candidates with strong relevant print or sign production experience will be considered accordingly. This role is a full time position Monday through Friday 7:50AM-4:30PM. Duties and Responsibilities Operate large-format digital printers and related sign production equipment. Set up print jobs using RIP software and production workflows. Load, unload, and handle rolls of vinyl, reflective sheeting, print media, aluminum blanks, and other sign materials. Review job tickets, proofs, quantities, sizes, colors, materials, and production requirements before and during production. Monitor print quality, color, alignment, registration, material handling, and output accuracy. Maintain quality control to ensure signs meet company and customer standards. Assist with laminating, cutting, plotting, weeding, mounting, and other finishing processes as needed. Perform routine printer maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and basic troubleshooting. Rotate and track production supplies such as inks, flush, media, and other consumables. Keep printers, equipment, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, material problems, or file concerns to management. Follow company procedures for job setup, production, quality control, maintenance, and workflow documentation. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience operating large-format printers, sign printers, laminators, vinyl cutters, flatbed cutters, or similar production equipment preferred. Experience with RIP software such as Flexi, Fiery, Asanti, or similar programs is a plus. Familiarity with mainly HP Latex, EFI. Agfa, Summa, Graphtec, Colex, or similar equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with sizes, quantities, colors, materials, and written instructions. Basic computer skills and ability to learn production software. Basic math and measurement skills, including inches, fractions, decimals, and square footage. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to troubleshoot basic equipment or material issues. Ability to stand, move, lift, and handle production materials throughout the day. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
