Role:
The Screen Printer plays a critical role in the manufacturing process, producing high-quality printed designs on a range of apparel. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that each garment meets the company's standards for color accuracy, alignment, and durability. The successful candidate will operate and maintain screen-printing equipment, prepare screens and inks, and troubleshoot issues that arise during production. Collaboration with design and production teams is essential to meet deadlines and fulfill customer specifications. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the brand's reputation by delivering visually appealing and long-lasting printed apparel products.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least six months of experience operating screen printing equipment in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic knowledge of color theory and ink mixing. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal training or certification in screen printing techniques. Experience with automated screen printing machines. Familiarity with different types of inks and substrates used in apparel printing. Strong troubleshooting skills related to printing equipment. Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate screen printing machines to apply designs onto apparel items such as t-shirts, hoodies, and other garments. Prepare screens by coating, exposing, and washing out designs to ensure accurate print reproduction. Mix and match inks to achieve the desired colors and consistency for each print job. Inspect printed garments for quality assurance, checking for defects such as misprints, color inconsistencies, or registration errors. Maintain and clean printing equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand project requirements and meet production deadlines. Document production details and report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to supervisors.
