LEGAL FILING EXPERIENCE IN A LAW FIRM IS REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB--PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PRIOR LEGAL FILING EXPERIENCE IN A LAW FIRM.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal File Clerk/Receptionist to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for visitors and clients while managing essential legal administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in maintaining organized legal files, supporting legal research, and ensuring smooth office operations. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help foster an efficient, welcoming environment that upholds the highest standards of professionalism. Duties Greet visitors, clients, and vendors warmly, directing them appropriately and managing the reception area with professionalism. Answer incoming calls promptly, screen inquiries, and route calls to the relevant legal staff. Organize, file, and maintain legal documents and case files both physically and electronically with precision. Assist with legal research by gathering relevant case law, statutes, and procedural information as directed. Draft basic legal correspondence, memos, or document summaries under supervision to support attorneys' needs. Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing meeting materials. Ensure all filing systems are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with confidentiality standards. Experience Previous legal file clerk and legal receptionist experience is necessary. Legal calendaring experience is necessary. Demonstrate familiarity with legal terminology and procedures. Demonstrate analysis skills to review documents for accuracy and completeness. Strong writing skills for drafting clear and concise correspondence or emails. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple files and prioritize tasks efficiently. Knowledge of legal research methods and tools to assist attorneys effectively.Pay:
