Job Description

The Document Control Clerk is responsible for management of all documents needed to meet the daily deadlines required in the department. To process all print requests, whether by scanning new drawings or plotting from existing electronic files. Essential Functions Download and upload files to FTP sites Create drawing transmittals Create design logs and maintaining folder structure Convert files to other formats Interpret and implement written instructions from print requests To work independently, with minimal supervision To prioritize tasks to meet unexpected deadlines Fast paced file processing in an MRP system Strong Microsoft Office suite required, will be tested. Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Effective Communication methods Attention to Detail Teamwork/Collaboration Result Driven/Critical Thinking Effective Problem-solving Resourcefulness Organization Specialized Knowledge The Document Control Clerk must be able to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors and/or officials of Company. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be knowledgeable in using computers, scanners, copiers and fax Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Work Environment Position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this position. This position is indoors and may sit for long periods of eight (8) hours or more per day. Position requires ability to lift and carry shop drawings on occasion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Education/Training High School Diploma or GED required. Work Experience One (1) year of related work experience preferred.
