Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to support document organization and records management for a Contract position in Lakewood, Washington. This role focuses on maintaining accurate filing systems, preparing records for storage or retrieval, and handling sensitive information with care. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both physical and electronic documents in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize, sort, and file paper records so documents can be located quickly and accurately.
  • Prepare file boxes for storage, labeling contents clearly and arranging materials in an orderly manner.
  • Scan documents into digital systems while checking image quality and completeness.
  • Maintain electronic filing records by uploading, indexing, and categorizing documents appropriately.
  • Retrieve requested files and distribute them to the appropriate team members in a timely manner.
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion and follow established procedures for secure storage and access.
  • Perform routine audits of filing systems to identify missing, duplicate, or misfiled records.
  • Support document intake activities by reviewing materials for proper classification before filing. Requirements
  • Experience working with paper filing systems and maintaining organized records.
  • Ability to manage file boxes and physical documents safely and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in scanning documents and ensuring accurate digital capture.
  • Familiarity with electronic filing or e-filing processes for record management.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling large volumes of information.
  • Ability to work with confidential documents while maintaining privacy and security standards.
  • Basic computer skills for document tracking and digital file organization.
