JOB COMPENSATION

$18 per hour to start, but ability to scale up to $21 per hour or more (depending on experience, performance & tasks), plus meals and standard mileage reimbursement.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must have reliable car and cell phone. Must be willing to travel daily within a 100 to 150 mile radius to assist a law firm with out-of-office field assignments. Professional demeanor and attire. Must possess excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with a very diverse clientele. Excellent communication skills required (verbal and written). Construction and / or legal experience a plus, but not required. Students and retirees welcome to apply, although students must be able to commit to full days. Ability to speak and/or write other languages, particularly Spanish, is not required but is appreciated. This is a part time opportunity with a variable schedule. Some months may involve one or two weeks of work, while others may require three or four. It is acceptable if a candidate is not available all the time due to other part-time positions or obligations, as we will work around your schedule. However, a successful candidate must be able to commit to being on location for an entire day, multiple days or an entire week or weeks, once their schedule is established.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Very busy and successful law firm with offices in Northern and Southern California looking for an independent contractor for a rewarding and exciting opportunity. This assignment will involve serving as an independent field representative on a wide variety of matters, mostly related to residential construction. Extensive travel is required, mostly within Riverside County but also extending to other cities within Southern California. Flexible hours and days. The Field Representative will meet with law firm clients at their homes; will interact with lawyers, experts and inspectors; will ensure that site inspections are performed by others and proceed on schedule; will ensure that inspectors and other personnel are adhering to certain codes of conduct in our clients' homes; and will supervise case-related events and activities in the field. The field representative will also serve as courier for the law firm (collecting and delivering documents), and occasionally collect photo documentation (take pictures of certain properties and transmit them to the law firm). This opportunity also involves light to moderate office duties (at your own home or office, or one of our law firm's satellite offices) including making phone calls, sending text messages, creating notes of assignments, scheduling events in the field, and emailing law firm regarding case assignments. Possibility for semi-permanent or permanent employment.
