Honolulu, HI Job Details Temporary | Part-time $22 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Interview research APIs Telephone interviewing Mobile devices Full Job Description Stat Team, Inc. is a nation-wide staffing agency seeking reliable, professional staff to administer surveys to riders on Skyline Transit and TheBus from September 8 until late October, 2026. The survey is to obtain a current demographic and travel profile of TheBus riders and will serve as an "After" study for the new leg of rail beginning in October 2025. The survey will be used to document riders' experience with the current transit network, provide a baseline for comparison of riders' experience with the past and future networks, as well as for ongoing transit service planning and implementation of TheBus' Title VI Program. TheBus will also be able to utilize the data from the OD survey for the travel demand model, transit service planning, and other Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant programs.
POSITION TITLE
Interviewer/SurveyorJOB DESCRIPTION
Survey staff will report 15 minutes prior to their assigned bus/rail departure time in order to: Check in (clock in) with survey supervisor Receive a Tablet which will be used to conduct surveys on Receive an assignment sheet and any special instructions Interviewers will board their assigned bus or rail vehicle and approach passengers in order to get the passengers to take part in a 5-6-minute survey in which the surveyor will be asking the passenger all questions and entering each question into the tablet program correctly.The survey questions include:
The passengers home address (interviewer will map this on the tablet using a Google API mapping function) What type of place is the passenger coming from and going to and the specific locations Where the passenger is getting on and off the bus route being surveyed If the passenger used any other buses on the trip they are taking and where they got on and off these bus routes (transfer routes). Demographic questions relating to income, ethnicity, employment, etc. Interviewers will be required to get 4 complete and accurate surveys per hour. The surveys will take place on the bus. At the end of each shift, staff will return to their location and return equipment, receive supervisor feedback, and receive a report time and location for the following day.REPORT LOCATIONS
Various transit centers / SkyLine stations including but not limited to the Kahauiki station, Alapaʻi Transit Center (No available parking), and other various transit stations. Parking may not be available at some locations.QUALIFICATIONS
Must be punctual and reliable. Must be able to communicate with strangers (Bus/Rail Passengers) Must be a regular user of smart phones/tablets. Must be familiar with Google maps Must be able to stand on your feet on board a moving bus for 5-8 hours per shift. Must be comfortable asking personal travel and demographic questionsSCHEDULE
AM Shift- Every Monday through Thursday until end of October (excluding holidays)
- approximately 5:30am-11:30am (staff may be offered extended shifts until around 2pm) PM Shift
- Every Monday through Thursday until end of October (excluding holidays)
- approximately 2:00pm-8:00pm (staff may be offered extended shifts until around 10:30 pm).
MANDATORY PAID TRAINING
Tuesday, September 8, 2026- 8am-12pm (AM Shift) and 1:30pm-5:30pm (PM Shift) (Kalihi Transit Center)
PAY:
$22.00 per hour. We pay weekly via direct deposit (W-2 position).TO APPLY
