Posting Detail Information Salary Information $22.10 per hour. Job Summary Part-time temporary, year-round Test Examiner II for the Ames Hunziker Testing Center. As a test proctor, you will be part of creating a positive experience for exam candidates and have a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices. Essential Functions Ability to follow detailed written and verbal directions. Complete extensive training as required. Read and continuously reference the procedures manual for directions on all the exams we administer. Communicate and engage with individuals of various backgrounds in a courteous and positive manner. Respond to all inquiries concerning internal and external testing via phone, email, and in person. Perform an accurate check-in process with each exam candidate. Maintain accurate and secure testing records with minimal supervision while maintaining a courteous, professional and friendly atmosphere. Administer and proctor a wide variety of computer, and paper exams for DMACC's current and potential students, and community professionals. Utilize a camera system and traditional active proctoring methods to monitor exam candidates. Report rule violations during exams to supervisor in a timely manner. Must be comfortable in an open office environment with frequent interruptions and interactions with staff, students, faculty and other individuals. Sensitivity to disabilities and support of accommodated testing are integral to the services provided by the testing center. Utilize DMACC's systems to look up student records, posts testing scores, and communicate testing scores to other institutions within FERPA regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. One year of clerical or general office experience. (Post-secondary education in any field may substitute for the required experience. Fifteen semester credits are equivalent to 6 months of experience. Applicant should have excellent customer service and communication skills, good attention to detail, and be comfortable working with varied populations. Good computer skills and adherence to confidentiality are required. Desired Qualifications Associates degree preferred. 2 years experience in an educational institution or 2 years of experience in test administration. Work Schedule Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00am - 2:00pm. Ability to work evening hours if needed, (e.g. Wednesday 3:00pm - 6:00pm).
