at Department of Corrections in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a Human Resources Representative to serve as a certified Statewide interviewer for assigned areas. They will assist with creating interview tools, serve as a liaison on issues relating to the Interview and Selection hiring process, and utilize the computer to check for qualifications. In addition, they will prepare confidential reports, spreadsheets and correspondence. We invite all qualified applicants to apply. Essential Functions Serves as a certified Statewide interviewer for assigned areas. Assists with creating interview tools prior to posting. Serves as a liaison to CMS , Agency Management, and field staff on issues relating to the Interview and Selection hiring process. Utilizes the computer to check for qualifications of applicants. Prepares confidential reports, spreadsheets and correspondence involving staffing plans, status of approvals and employee candidate information including confidential salary information. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college. Requires one (1) year of professional experience, preferably in human resources or satisfactory completion of approved training program. Preferred Qualifications Prefers one (1) year of human resources experience in a hiring unit as part of an interview and selection program.
