Job Description

Overview We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and professional Interviewer for a weekend-only part-time position two days per month. The job will involve conducting surveys with travelers on behalf of the Port of Seattle, which runs the airport. The objective is to understand and improve travelers' airport experience. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations. Shifts Saturdays or Sundays only Generally, 2 days per month, although sometimes it will be 1 or 3 days per month.
Hours will be either:
6:30 am to 3pm (with unpaid 30-minute lunch and paid breaks) 12:30 pm to 9pm (with unpaid 30-minute lunch and paid breaks) There may also be optional ad hoc projects 1-3 times per year, generally for 2-4 weeks per project. Pay Rate While on-site and interviewing at the airport, the rate is $26.50/hour We also pay for up to one hour of transportation to and from the airport at $21.30/hour Badging and training hours are paid at $21.30/hour We reimburse public transportation costs (bus/light rail), or airport parking Badging/Certification Badging - In order to work on this project, employees must get badged by the Port of Seattle, allowing you pass through security checkpoints and operate in secure areas. This involves submitting paperwork to the Port regarding prior employment, history of residence, and criminal background. Taking a test about airport security administered by The Port of Seattle. Tasks You will be trained to conduct interviews with travelers on a tablet. You will be walking throughout the airport, so you must be comfortable being on your feet. You will be expected to conduct interviews with participants in a professional and engaging manner. Experience in market research and qualitative research interviewing is a plus, but not required. Most important is the ability to approach strangers in a friendly and professional manner, and collect accurate data for the Port of Seattle.
