Legal Secretary - Labor & Employment $55K - $70K Birmingham, AL Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to join a dynamic legal team? We are seeking a Legal Secretary to support a busy Labor & Employment practice. Litigation experience is preferred but not required. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, clients, and firm personnel while providing critical administrative and legal support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents and correspondence including contracts, letters, memoranda, and reports Maintain attorney calendars and monitor deadlines Schedule meetings, conferences, and appointments Enter, review, and edit attorney time entries Coordinate the new business intake process Proofread and edit monthly and quarterly client billings in accordance with firm and client requirements Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information Coordinate travel arrangements Process expense reimbursements and check requests Organize and maintain electronic and paper files Serve as the point of contact for guests, vendors, and couriers Track and order office supplies Provide additional support as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior transactional legal experience preferred Litigation experience preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing platforms Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Client service-focused mindset Flexibility to work overtime as needed PangeaTwo's goal is to ensure that each recruitment opportunity yields rewarding dividends for both candidates and clients.
