401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Hylton & Associates is looking to hire an experienced legal assistant for our litigation team. This is an in-office position. Job duties include, but are not limited to: answering phones, speaking to clients, filing documents in state and federal court, calendaring, creating documents, supporting assigned attorneys, as well as other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, organized, works well as part of a team but also independently, fast learner, can work in a fast- paced environment and can multi-task. Compensation is competitive and will depend on experience level. Overtime pay is available when needed but is not required. Benefits include paid sick days, vacation days, and paid Holidays. Responsibilities Provide general administrative support Communicate with clients and witnesses Prepare case-specific documents, including memoranda and briefs Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review File documents in state and federal court Calendaring Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant in civil litigation. Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology and filing systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with document management experience Experience with Microsoft Office CompuLaw experience a plus, but not required NetDocuments experience a plus, but not required Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Spanish preferred but not required Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required
