Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Specialist for a highly respected civil litigation law firm. This is a fully onsite opportunity based in San Jose, California.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Specialist to provide a unique blend of advanced litigation support, case management, and legal administrative expertise within a sophisticated civil litigation practice. This role serves as a critical resource to attorneys by managing complex filings, litigation deadlines, discovery coordination, and trial preparation while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and procedural accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong California litigation experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys serving as a key operational partner throughout all stages of litigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage California state and federal court filings, monitor deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Format, proofread, and prepare complex legal documents, including motions, memoranda, appellate briefs, and TOC/TOA generation
Coordinate discovery processes, including document productions, Bates labeling, indexing, organization, and case file management
Assist with drafting routine litigation documents, notices, stipulations, proposed orders, and exhibit preparation
Support deposition and trial preparation through witness coordination, exhibit management, deposition materials, and trial notebook assembly
Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, courts, and litigation support teams while managing multiple active matters
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of California civil litigation experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
Strong working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure, California Rules of Court, and state and federal filing requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, e-filing platforms, and legal document management systems
Experience with document formatting, TOC/TOA creation, discovery management, and litigation support through trial preparation
Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading ability, organizational skills, and the ability to perform under tight litigation deadlines
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
