Job Description

Under the direction of the General Counsel and with direction from the Paralegal III, the incumbent is responsible for managing the legal filing system including both online and physical files, performing administrative tasks and maintaining legal files and documents within legal offices ensuring efficient operations and support for legal professionals. This role is critical in ensuring that all files and legal documents are accurately stored and easily retrievable. Proficiency in reading and interpreting various documents, including legal documents, and understanding of legal terminology. Must have ability to identify the appropriate file categories given the various legal matters and documents including, but not limited to, contracts, deeds, pleadings, correspondence, memorandum etc. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in the organization of legal files and filing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Access, is required. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Connecticut Notary Public Certificate or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire required.
