Job Description
Our management firm is seeking a professional legal secretary to oversee a range of administrative and secretarial tasks. As the legal secretary & collections specialist, your principal goal is to support management and its attorneys by performing a range of clerical duties, including making collection calls, following up with text messages, attending court proceedings, researching case information, scheduling meetings, and filing legal documents.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Strong communication skills, including the ability to compose proper letters and emails.
Detail-oriented.
Team player.
Great work ethic.
Upbeat Can-do attitude.
Easy-going and firm.
Experience dealing with landlord/tenant court.
Ability to research proper codes.
Familiar with fair housing.
Form 50 holder.
Associate degree in legal studies or related field, or a want to pursue one.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of legal documents and terminology.
Skilled with MS Office.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
