Job Description

We are a small but busy law firm focused on probate, guardianship, estate planning, and related litigation matters. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, detail-oriented legal support to our clients while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment for our team. We are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, organized, and eager to learn. This position is a great opportunity for an individual interested in beginning a long-term career in the legal field. Position Overview We are seeking an entry-level Legal Secretary to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously Greet clients and provide exceptional customer service Conduct new client intake and gather initial information Schedule consultations, meetings, hearings, and appointments Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents and correspondence Maintain and organize both electronic and physical client files Handle incoming and outgoing mail, scanning, and document management Assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative and clerical support Maintain calendars, deadlines, and office organization Perform additional office duties as needed to support daily operations Qualifications Prior office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred Legal experience is a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional written and verbal communication abilities Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm Qualified candidates should submit a resume along with a brief introduction explaining their interest in the position and relevant experience.
