This role is responsible for preparing legal documents, managing calendars and deadlines, coordinating filings and case activities, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality. What You'll Do You'll play an integral role in supporting attorneys and clients by: Preparing, formatting, proofreading, and revising legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, agreements, and other legal materials. Managing attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case schedules to ensure critical dates are tracked and met. Coordinating depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, client meetings, conference calls, and other case-related events. Preparing and filing documents in state and federal courts, including electronic and sealed filings. Reviewing and processing incoming emails, court filings, correspondence, and other communications to ensure timely follow-up. Maintaining organized electronic and physical client files in accordance with firm policies. Opening new client and matter files, including conflict searches and matter setup. Maintaining case lists, trial calendars, mediation schedules, and other tracking reports. Assisting attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation, exhibits, binders, and supporting materials. Entering attorney time, preparing expense reports, and processing vendor invoices. Communicating professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, and other third parties. Providing backup support for other legal secretaries and assisting with training and special projects as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of legal secretary experience. Litigation experience required. Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Professional judgment, discretion, and a client-service mindset.
